As I prepare for my 4th marathon, I was reminded of a story of heavyweight boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko. I was told one of the reason he was such a great fighter was because he, by design, scheduled months of vacation time after each of his main event fights.
Subconsciously, this gave his body permission to effectively “leave it all out on the canvas” as he didn’t have to worry about saving anything for a training session the next day. His competitors on the other hand, were back at the gym the next morning.
Have a quick listen and see where you may be “saving for tomorrow” in situations where you should be draining the reserves for victory.
