Being in sales for over 2 decades I’ve been able to see two different philosophies as it relates to selling.
One strategy is to get out there and sell, don’t take no for an answer and explain to the buyer why they need your product or service. Also, it’s a numbers game, get through as many “no’s” as necessary to get your “yes”.
The other strategy is to focus on building demand. If you’re able to broadcast the features and benefits of your product or service to enough people, they will come and buy. Also, creating a system for automation streamlines the entire process.
One system get’s results early, the other takes time to set up. One physically grinds you, the other is a bit more relaxed. The catch is, both systems can work.
